Lots of Blue Tokai coffee
We travelled to Bangalore this week, with a cousin who stopped over in Delhi in-transit. I made 3 airport trips on the same day, which is quite crazy! And over the week also ended up having Blue Tokai’s coffee 4 times which is also a lot more than we usually do.

Modi govt compared to a simulation
Shantanu shared this great visual companion to a paper that compares the Modi government’s performance against simulated data generated using a weighted combination of data from other countries. The countries were chosen in such a way that the data from the past 30 years (before Modi became the PM) matches India’s as closely as possible, and then the data for the years 2014-2020 was simulated.
I will spare you any spoilers and let you look at the paper and/or visualizations yourself.
I also wonder what the data for 2021-2026 would look like.

Workout with Anup
I did my first workout with Anup, my instructor that I train with over video, personally at his gym. It was nice to have live feedback and cues, though I may have been relying on the cues much more than I should’ve been. I usually remind myself the cues before doing an exercise, but didn’t do that because I had the luxury of Anup watching over me.

Cricket with the family
We did a family outing with the wife’s extended family. Did some bowling after ages, with a tennis-cricket ball on the street. Also played a lot of good-old 1-pitch-1-hand out kinda cricket. Enjoyed fielding as usual.
